Pirate terms
Arrg! A few random terms that are appropriate to classic sailing ships or to Pirates. Don't forget, Talk Like a Pirate Day is September 19'th.

| 1 | Avast | A command to stop what you're doing. |
| 2 | Belay | As a command, means to stop or to ignore the last order. Also used to indicate a rope's to be tied. |
| 3 | Deadlights | Eyes |
| 4 | Gibbet | Gallows |
| 5 | Grog | Rum diluted with water |
| 6 | Hornswoggle | To cheat |
| 7 | Keelhaul | To drag under the ship; painful and often fatal. |
| 8 | Lubber | Landsman or a clumsy sailor |
| 9 | Nipperkin | Small drinking cup |
