Trivia-10 is a collection of lists of trivia
information, broken down into lists of no more than ten items. Each list is intended
to be "bite sized"; just the right size for someone to be able to scan
and -- hopefully -- remember.
Why limit things to ten?
Because it's a convenient number. If you look at a list of fifty things, how many do
you really think you'll remember? Ten is about right, although admittedly my short
research into the physiology of human memory didn't actually find the "correct" number of things
that you can easily remember.
What's your relation to Buzztime/NTN?
None, directly. However, my wife and I have been playing NTN/Buzztime since the late 1990's. I play
as RIDDLE; my wife plays as EVKT. Our retirement account also has NTN stock in it, but we're not
assuming that we're going to retire rich because of it.
Is this a for profit site?
Yes! However, it's not at your expense. If you notice all the Amazon ad's on this site,
usually oriented towards trivia topics, you might figure out that we can get money
from Amazon under the "Associates" program. Click on the "How can I support
the site?" link to see how.
How can I support the site?
Anytime you're going to purchase ANYTHING from Amazon, come to this site and click on any of
the Amazon links. Whether or not you're buying what's in the ad, just click on the link.
A percentage of your total purchase will then be credited to us -- at no cost to you! Basically
Amazon pays us to advertise for them, but only when you buy something.
If you're not an Amazon buyer, you can also help us by linking to our site (see the
links page for images). This will help our site be
higher up in the search-engine rankings which hopefully will lead to more of
those Amazon click-thrus.
If nothing else, tell your friends about the site.
How do I request a list or set of lists?
Send us an email - see the
contact page for details.
Somewhere down the road, we'll allow our readers to submit their own trivia lists.
Can I submit a list?
Not yet. We'll be adding that capability somewhere down the road. Check back at our
news page now and then for details.
How do I report an error in the trivia?
For now, just send us an email. See the
contact page for
details. In the future, we intend to have forum/feedback links for each trivia and topic
page.
Is there anyway to print the lists?
Having a "Printer Friendly" link on the trivia page is on the top of the list
for the site.
Who is Flying Duck Computer?
Flying Duck Computer was founded in 1982 and is a custom software company. For the last
decade and a half, we've specialized in telecommunications billing processes, basically
helping phone companies collect money for the services they provide.
For the last few years, we've also helped various game and gaming related companies
with web and database services.
Under construction
Here's what we're planning to do with the site.
- Add forums to topics and lists.
- Allow readers to post new trivia lists.
